Chapter 5

At first nothing happened.

“Well, s**t!”

Just then, the Tesla coils activated, and shot bright strands of electricity to an invisible point in the center of the miniature particle accelerator. Almost instantly, a black circle with bluish clouds around the edges enlarges to the point of instability. I quickly reached over to the power controls of the tesla coils and turned it down to a more stable frequency. I could hear an audible change in the tone of the tesla coils, like a massive engine winding down. At that same moment the portal contracted to a more stable size.

I watch as it stabilizes and in the blackness a distorted but obvious image appears of water. I quickly grab my quad propeller RC with a built in camera. I turned it on and set the computer to record everything wirelessly from the RC. I turned the helicopter around to face me, and I looked at the screen in the remote to make sure it was centered on my face.

“This is Dr. Lucas Hunt. I have just completed a working design of I.C.E. and I am now using this helicopter to scout the dimension of Black Hole [Enter Data Here].”

I turned the helicopter back to the portal and pushed the accelerator.
