Angels of ashes

Angels of ashes

A Poem by ScorpioSun
"

Another piece of writing that came to me in a dream, jotted down at 4am this morning in a notebook.

"

My shroud is cast of night

My face is a shadow

This air will not be breathed

It parts for me like silent water

My eyes are darkness itself

So that no man may see my soul

I sharpen my knife

They dread my coming

War broods on the wind,

The carnyx and the drum.

Soon I awaken

A heart drenched in fire

Roaring for blood

Death in my stance

Mercy will sit atop the pyre

The hilltops aflame

Their souls fuel for my torches

Their embers will be my dawn

Seething,

Their phoenix slain.

A real great impression, of or something darker than dark what happened, or just an rebirth, and after all was burnt, you came out of the ashes, I enjoyed this piece.

Great awareness!

You're very welcome, I loved this piece.
Such beauty, passion, and so lyrical.
there was a feeling of mystical fantasy in there for me.
I could see the image in my mind, the silent rage, the hunt....Revenge.

"Seething,
Their phoenix slain"

These are great lines. I like this. It has an ominous feel, like the approach of a deadly, powerful, inevitable thing. A good read. :)
