Route to Normality

Route to Normality

A Poem by Gem
"

A bit of a bitter moment after an emotion filled weekend full of people from the past and present. It's amazing how such juxtaposed emotions can both manifest themselves in such a short time.

"

Hiding away behind your mask
Pushing people away, thick and fast.
You'll realise soon what could have become
A happy-ever-after reserved only for some.

You pushed and you pulled, yet didn't know why.
We were so far away we sat on clouds in the sky.
You in your cell and you lost the key,
We tried to help, but you just couldn't see.

And know I'm here writing this about you
A person I once knew who never made it through.
Trials in life you just couldn't beat.
You gave up and just bathed in defeat.

So here I sit, miles away.
You pushed so far I couldn't stay.
Yet still we fight and push further away
To sort our problems we never did find another way.

So this is a goodbye, farewell, adieu.
The only person left is you.
To sort your problems, you have a long way to go.
Your route to normality nobody will show.
