Tears of Blood

Tears of Blood

A Poem by Shadoe

I’m blinded by time

in this world of empty lies.

as I stand here all alone,

the blood red tears begin to fall

Memories flash across my eyes,

a time of happier days,

laughing and smiling,

not a care in the world.

I’m hurting deep inside,

lost in sorrow and confusion.

but no one sees this pain I feel,

lost in their own past.

Here I stand, all alone

floating in my memories,

where you said you loved me,

and these bloody tears begin to fall.

hmm. i can relate to this. i realize the last line is referring back to the title, the emphasize on the poem and that's where u want it, but i think if you worded it a little different, the underlying rhythm would even out more. the rhythm's not clear, but it's okay that way. thanks for sharing. God bless.
