Reverie

Reverie

A Poem by Marianna Shc

I avoid it, I avoid it a lot.

Avoid getting up
Avoid that road, at that time, avoid buying
avocados when they're not
ripe.

And writing- I avoid that too
I just want to see who wins this
time, what's fine what's
demonized

I whisper to  myself  in my
daze

Driving my fingertips to press little soft square
bouncy boxes
With white letters on them
 Letters

.

I feel nasty for trying
to capture this
thing

It's okay to avoid certain
 things
up to a certain
point.

I'm avoidead, somewhere,
high, horny, hideous.

thought-provoking... makes the readers question if they somehow have experiences something similar...
