Skeleton Love

Skeleton Love

A Poem by wolfie

Love so tragically funny
We both died laughing

Alone at night though
I spent it crying

To you,
I was long gone dead before we hit the ground
So you spent that time hanging with friends

We held the same vices
Drowning in booze and cigars

Next day you saw me
I looked okay to you
You didn't get a clue

I thought we still shared those summer blues
Thought you would of noticed what the hell it would do

The dark rings on my eyes
The strong stench on my clothes
Chewed down nails and haunted expression

You peeled off my skin and broke my ribs to steal my heart
You never bothered to put me back together again

All you left was a graveyard of bones

So now...
I got to learn to love the skeleton you left behind
