Better of Me

Better of Me

A Poem by wolfie

I dream of worlds beyond my own
Attainable by gateways
Into timelines parallel with better endings
Or sweeter happenings
Where my love is not stunted by hardships
Where remembrance does not paralyze my limbs
Or forces me to curl, feeble and vulnerable
A timeline, with a mirror image smiling
Where I am not who I am or will be
But who I once needed to save me
Someone who could have been happy
With all that I still have
Unlike the miserable me of now
Ungrateful, shrewd
With Death's claw at the throat
While I care not for tomorrow

Such a beautifully depressing poem. I love this one right here.

Bitter and depressed. I hope there are no firearms in the house.
