A Wretch Like Me

A Wretch Like Me

A Poem by wolfie

Crystal chill rains above

Fall like embers from a storm

As every single leaf falls

Decaying under the mud roads

Wings that burst with light

Breathing the ghost of fog

Dying winds by Earth's blight

Brought to life by the bird's song

Crashing down by gravity's pull

Sway over the push by the edge

Swallowing each mouthful

Just to save a wretch
