Ill-Fitted PropagandaA Poem by wolfie
Her face was painted: white, red, blue
The blue curved around her eye lids, like a children's drawing The white faded her face like rice cake with no flavor The red was crescent on her lips They were the symbols of Country colors, but on her was the big red ball on her button nose No flag was flown, just a flower on her pocket vest that squirted hard lemonade Exaggerated shoes on her tiny feet Her clothes crumpled and wrinkled like an old 1 dollar bill She took one step with those ill-fitted shoes Then there she went, Red, white, and blue all smeared on that gray cement with a few added drops of red She never could get up again
