faintly humming forgiveness

faintly humming forgiveness

A Poem by wolfie

for the intro, an ethereal soprano accompanied by the warm bass clarinet
yet the beginning was mute
everything like a black film
although the reel is rolling there is no color onstage
no color offstage either
just like that, the first breath was silent too
the end is messy though, emotional
it doesn't fade to black, it bleeds charcoal
so there they are under stars in each other's arms
paleness wrapped under a blanket of darkness
almost as if a smoky haze was trying to keep it a secret too
that's just how they are though
Life whispered comforts, but Death was the one gently caressing away Life's tears
