Faith in Hope

Faith in Hope

A Poem by wolfie

Once was a dream that could not be slept
It woke its prisoners in a sweat
The dream wept

Oh, how it cried

Haunting its dreamers every night

It never gave up

Oh, how it tried

Stretching its arms like cradles

It reached to the stars in the sky

Its prisoners woke up in a sweat again
They could not handle the intensity
The dream was too real
They almost suffocated among the planet's rings of teal

The dream reached to the sun this time
He could hardly give any advice
He guided the dream to his beloved moon
She faced her brightest phase to the lagoon

The dream peered in and leaned too far
The dream fell in and was gone once more
In the darkest depths of the water
He too, felt the coldest shower
Like ice comets, it pounded his form
The dream swam to the surface shore

There revealed was a new dream
The stars  would now dream peacefully
