Some Place That Doesn't Exist

Some Place That Doesn't Exist

A Poem by wolfie

When I'm lost
Can't recognize the person in the mirror
When the best and only warmth comes from a steaming coffee
Not the words of another person
They don't know who I am
When they reach out to me
Their fingertips will pass through
Can't tell if it's them or me
Maybe I'm just a ghost wandering
Hot and Cold
The contrast is sore
It's ambiguous yet opaque
It's a misunderstanding
Not who I want to be
Yet who I must be
Can't breathe
My head is underwater
I'm drowning
I hold my heart in my palms
Crushing it in between
Where logic can't catch me
So I can set it free
Set myself free
