Scattering Snowdrops

Scattering Snowdrops

A Poem by wolfie

Dear,
there are no regrets,
no resignation to the end.
We are on our way to heaven glories,
with hell on our back,
knives in our pockets,
and posies on our shoulders and heads.
Dear,
there is neither time for tears or smiles,
a fierce march through the veil.
Mud stains our cheeks,
blood smears our joints,
and spikes erect from spines.
Dear,
anthems sing for us,
and us alone.
Angels with wings aflame,
we leave the sky burning,
the world smelling of ashes.
Dear,
we trail blaze the heavens,
the stars weep.
We conquer everything above,
and everything below.
