A lifetime of SadnessA Poem by wolfie
"To be, or not to be"
as beloved Shakespeare put it; yet, not fully conscious of what those options are. Victim, Abuser, or something in between. Why couldn't it be nothing, neither, rather than both? To be, much like the clouds in the sky, that people point to with glee, changing meaning to every shape seen, and every illusion created. To be, underneath the silhouette of a cloud, a creator and destroyer, throwing bolts on those below, and raising crops and life with tear drops. Or not to be, at least something that is nothing without meaning. Why couldn't it have been nothing, with significance, or just nothing at all, like wind in space, to have never existed in the first place. Why did it have "to be" naught?
