What makes a friend?

What makes a friend?

A Poem by wolfie

She laughs and she smiles,
she texts and she calls,
but by the end of the day,
we all feel empty.
Communication is more than just words,
yet that is all we ever write,
words through black bold letters in a blinking screen,
and empty promises;
She will never meet me fully,
and I could never travel to her.
All we can do is share what little we can,
yet it's not enough.
Too much on her part and I've suffocated under her demands,
and if I go overboard in my excitement,
she stalls and fades like the battery on my phone.
There is no heart felt connection,
because when the only point of bond is through broadband,
she will never be real and neither will I.

The ever present intimate ethernet romance.. much like a simulation game where the players stand to actually get hurt. So much truth in your words and growing.
