Love in the twists and scarsA Poem by wolfie
My dreams drifted through dead seas.
Drowned along shipwrecks, and like the captain of my life, I sank down with it. Thinking I was dying, imagine my surprise; the sea is the moon at crescent, and I settle in her curves gently. The oxygen doesn't reach my lungs, but she floods my heart. Even as I settle in the bottom alongside my anchor, with my back against the salt sand seeping into my wounds, I can't help but love the sting. A reminder why I've kept so long, despite the rocking waves, and deadly sirens. My heart is the ocean, and she is my soul.
