Are you Afraid to Die?

Are you Afraid to Die?

A Poem by wolfie

Raise your wrists,
clench your fists,
tuck your chin.
Roll your shoulders,
bend your knees,
tighten your elbows.

This is no longer a man's fight...
The loser bends and
bows until he F

The winner staggers
because a real fight needs more strength than what you got.
The taunts are just for show,
so give your best
GLARE.
Don't ever forget that you've got to use your H E A D
that's what matters the most when your hands tremble and give
way.

If you break
gather your strength of will.
Even when your knees hit the floor

Don't think about what happens next,
strategic moves are bound by instincts.
Don't bare your chest,
intimidation isn't animalistic,
it's a technique.

This isn't a man's fight....
It's the
WAR OF GUTS
A BATTLE OF THE BEST HUMAN
IT'S THE TEST OF WITS
This is the fight of determination
A fire burning in the all of us
if only we weren't so afraid to

I love the reveal of the metaphor at the end. I don't like the formatting, and two lines contradict each other:
"Don't ever forget that you've got to use your H E A D
that's what matters the most when your hands tremble and give
way."

And

"Don't think about what happens next,
strategic moves are bound by instincts."

However, I generally like it.
