Light it Up

Heavy burdens are difficult to carry,

even the words of support are mute to my ears.

There is a haunting darkness embedded in the soul of this earth,

and it will never extinguish.

However I'm not going to break to world to rebuild.

The light I will shine on the earth isn't to save,

but to wield as a brush to a canvas,

or a pencil to a paper.

A world as seen in my eyes to contrast the reality presented to me.

However, I am not blind.

I am not so completely lost in myself,

not so shattered in this labyrinth.

The change is in a chain reaction,

very much so as the exchange of atoms in electrons.

It is the stability I wish to find,

the challenge I wish to overcome.

I am so very determined,

so desperate to prove that even in the dark,

there still shines a light.

It exists in the large silent depths of my heart.

No matter how stubborn the world can be,

there will always be someone roaring against the masses.

That is the beginning of the never ending fight of bravery,

and the will to live in the not so beautiful world that makes the stars shine.
