Bottle of Broken Dreams

Bottle of Broken Dreams

A Poem by wolfie

A kindred spirit,
and the thread is cut and lost,
distance harsher than a sandstorm desert,
yet colder than a dwarf star.
Sleeping with eyes open,
because dreams won't remember,
can't hold onto the treasure.
Too tired to take another step forward,
the steel chains can't keep it together.
It's a dagger inside the bottle of broken dreams.
Grievance,
defeated,
the core won't resuscitate.
The staircase is tumbling,
step by step,
loosing the progress,
everything is becoming a mess.
Possess the glass mirror,
vibrate and shatter,
staring back,
hide the expression.
The ties are torn,
the memories are scorched...
We're just two shards lying on a beach,
just another bottle of broken dreams.
