A Sea of MadnessA Poem by wolfie
Hysterical laughter,
as walls are bleeding through, and gravity defying teacups are floating in the air. Mind is a scattering, pieces losing pieces, must I glue a fragment to a fragment? I rather not care. I'm lost in a silly madness, so grimly beautiful, and utterly reasonable as any irrationality can be. Can't find the exit but I can just make my own, jumping out of windows onto bouncy mushrooms, or being washed away and swimming with the flying fishes up the river. It doesn't matter where I go! Find the jewel in the pond, see that reflection, is it really you? Make every light a different color, gleaming steel, dripping rubies. Nothing is what it is, it's usually what it isn't that makes it what it becomes. Can't the same be said of you? Are you who you are, can you assure yourself of such a truth, or is secretly a lie, or a hidden truth underneath the mud? Well, I suppose it doesn't matter anyways, if you don't know who you are, then you can't determine where you go, and if you never leave, you'll never become who you are!
