Death's Ring

Death's Ring

A Poem by wolfie

When the bouquet was caught,
it had been a moment of shock,
and a moment of inevitable fate.
It was not a man to which a tie was clenched in fist,
nor flowers that fell from the sky,
but a bond that told of an end.
The beginning of the tale was not upon that event,
but since the eyes first peered into the world,
until the night that death swept me from my feet in a wedding gown.
Until death do us part, or in this case,
until life escape me do we tie the knot.
