Immortal Kiss

Immortal Kiss

A Poem by wolfie

A vast, and endless eternity,
time unlimited,
yet captive to time.
Forced with eyelids peeled,
to witness the world.
Sleep, longing to dream,
last vivid sweet,
pleasant grave and ephemeral peace,
however long lost.
Immortality,
a treat to gluttonous greed,
but what good is it,
with death your only companion?

Death is indeed intruguing as a concept. We avoid it as to think about it makes us feel our own mortality. But what awaits us in death? The imortal kiss is no good if it is simply purgatory!
