Cup of Love

Cup of Love

A Poem by wolfie

Taste the pain of love,
before you leave the cup,
broken or shattered against the wall,
leaving bruises all over the coffee table.
Pry the cage over your heart,
and let the blood chirp and sing,
beautiful crimson roses bloom,
before rigor mortis sets.
Slip in the poison,
gently into the mug,
and like a rocky bridge,
the nerves will dance.
