The Heart of a Flower

The Heart of a Flower

A Poem by wolfie

In the silence of the night,
thief roams,
feet padding softly,
no sound heard over rushing time,
looming closer,
nails retracting slowly,
leaves shivering,
presence overwhelming,
excruciating,
suffocating,
the white lily lingers,
until the lotus blooms
