Death Awaits

Death Awaits

A Poem by wolfie

The siren's call ripples like waves,

notes rising and falling smoothly,

it lures all with ears to their graves,

the corpses come willingly.

Every voice that reaches out like a warm embrace,

wrapping like a silk scarf around your neck,

tightening slowly as it drags you down to the ocean's bosom,

lower and lower into her womb thousands of feet under the surface.

Like children you follow her caring voice,

serene under her golden appearance,

you welcome her presence,

unknowingly accepting the consequences of life.

Death awaits you.
