Love is a Pain

Love is a Pain

A Poem by wolfie

When you are young,

love seems so simple,

something you wait for,

something you'd give up everything for.

When you're older,

love becomes difficult,

and you can't help but wonder,

what is love?

some people live their whole lives without it,

some find it,

and some grew up with it.

Some people choose work over love,

life over love,

and accomplish more things without ever feeling it.

However, love could be something that lives besides us,

like nostalgic pain in our footprints.

Love will leave stains in our carpets,

the milk on the counters overnight,

shoes by the door to trip over,

and they leave scars and bruises all over our hearts,

but I'd rather live with it than be without it.

Love is like a pain that we breath every day,

we just don't realize it.
