Devil MoonlightA Poem by wolfieShut the door, turn off the lights, close the shutters, dream tonight, lilacs and tulips, beautiful and delicate, withering in the harsh hands of man, flourishing in the heart of wilderness, soft petals under tempered palms, raised high above their tiny heads, glowing in the after light, difficult moonlight, pride embellished in each vein, roots embedded deep gripping to their ground, gasping and inhaling firmly, unwilling to the scythe, unbending to the will of this devilish moonlight
