Story One - Little Red Riding HoodA Chapter by SabrinaA new version of little red riding hood.
Once upon a time in a land far, far, away, there was a girl who loved the red hood her grandmother had made her. She loved her hood so much that she wore it all the time. Everyone called the girl Little Red Riding Hood, even though her name was Maise.
One day when her granny was sick, Little Red Riding Hood decided to take some soup and bread out to her house. Little Red Riding Hood's granny lived through the woods and it was a path that she had took many times before. Red's mother packed a basket for her to take and the next morning she was sent off to deliver the goodies to her granny. Red set off on her own down the path through the woods. As she skipped along she hummed to herself. She was about almost to her destination when a wolf walked up next to her. "Hello young girl, where are you headed to by yourself?" The wolf asked. Red recalled the warnings her mother had gave her about not talking to strangers, but she was bored and thought talk to a wolf couldn't do much damage. "I'm headed to my granny's house right up ahead on this path. She has fallen ill so I am bringing her some bread." Red replied. "How sweet of you. I'm sure your granny will love them." The wolf said. "I'm sure your granny would also love some flowers. There's a patch just over there." The wolf continued pointing to a flower bed a few feet away. "My mother told me not to stray away from the path." Red replied. "It's only a few feet. Why not?" The wolf suggested. "I guess it is only a few feet." And with the Red was off picking flowers for her poor sick granny. While Red was picking flowers she didn't see the wolf run ahead on the path. The wolf ran fast to Red' granny's house. Once he approached he knocked on the door. "Come in." Granny's sick voice came from within. The wolf let himself in and saw granny laying in bed. He thought of what a nice meal she would make. The wolf couldn't stop himself and before he knew it he had swallowed granny whole. That's when Red had finally gotten to her granny's house and had knocked on the door. The wolf threw on granny's nightclothes and hopped right in the bed. "Come in." The wolf said in a sickly voice. Red approached the bed. "I brought you some goodies, granny." Red said. "My, you look terribly sick. What big ears you have." "The better to hear you with" The wolf replied. "What big eyes you have." Red said, thinking out loud. "The better to see you with, my dear." The wolf said coughing for a little more effect. "What big teeth you have." Red exclaimed. "The better to taste you with." The wolf spoke in common voice pulling the nightclothes off. Red had no time to react before she too had been swallowed whole. After having a nice meal the wolf laid down and fell asleep. Thankfully, a nearby hunter heard Red's screams and came to her rescue. The hunter let himself in through the door, with his knife pulled out. He heard the deep snores of the wolf before he saw him. The hunter heard Red's screams come from within the wolf stomach. He wanted to help them, so the hunter sliced open the wolf's stomach and let out the women. The women climbed out in perfect shape. Red had learned her lesson to never talk to strangers, especially wolves. The End!
