A Meeting with friends

Today, I am meeting with a few friends.

Upon waking, I met with FRUSTRATION,

A friend I can’t seem to get to leave.

STRESS, arrived shortly thereafter to

help me start the day in an aggressive way.

DISAPPOINTMENT , a friend I wish I

had never met, followed .

RESPONSIBILITY, the friend I embrace and resent,

made an appearance as well, urging me to push forward.

REMORSE AND REGRET, the Siamese twins, are the

criminal element of the gang, often putting me in uncomfortable positions.

Then, there is HOPE. She’s the one friend I am very careful with.

Too little of her and life doesn’t seem worth living.

Too much of her, causes DISAPPOINTMENT, FRUSTRATION, REGRET AND REMORSE

to beat her down, putting her back in her place...where she belongs...

Sitting anxiously, in the back of the room, overshadowed by her more dominate "friends".

This is exceptional. I would never thought of this format. I loved the way you identified each friendsfrustration, stress, disappointment, responsibilityetc But my favorite was the fine line of Hope. Too little, life falls short, too much, full of disappointmentThis is a great write. Thank you

How very clever! I loved it...'friends' that everyone has whether they like it or not! Quirky and fun.

Well done

It feels like I am looking on a wall with a poster with sayings to ponder upon (mostly the footprints in the sand concept). I enjoyed it.

Good form and format, good choice of words, good flow.

This is a good piece

I do like it - personifying these concepts. But don't worry - Hope has Grace on her side and she knows how to kick butt! :)
