Rain

Rain

A Poem by desertraven

Rain

"a parody of Three Days Grace’s- ‘Pain’ dedicated to everyone who shares in the pain of living in the desert "

Rain...without flood

Rain...can’t get enough

Rain...to make some mud

‘Cuz I’d rather have rain

Than nothin’ at all.

You’re sick...of having none

You’re not...the only one

Take it...any way I can

So watch Ch 12's... weatherman

Rain...it’s getting rough

Rain...to stop the dust

Rain...sprinklers are not enough

‘Cuz I’d rather have rain

Than nothin’ at all

Our valley...is full of dirt

backyard plants..all look burnt

Trust me...and take my hand

When the rain does come, you’ll understand

Rain...I’d like a storm

Rain...just pour and pour

Rain...bring us some more

‘Cuz I’d rather have rain

Than nothin’ at all

Water bills...cause agony

Brings me...such misery

But Nature...has a plan

During Monsoon...you’ll understand

Rain...without flood

Rain...can’t get enough

Rain...to make some mud

‘Cuz I’d rather have rain

Than nothin’ at all...
