Vampire and The Lycan

Vampire and The Lycan

A Poem by desertraven

The Vampire and the Lycan

Many years ago,

in a very distant land,

lived a Vampire, who

was Queen of her Clan.

She had ghostly dark eyes

and long sharp teeth,

and a passionate kiss,

you just couldn’t beat.

In a castle on a hilltop,

she chose to live,

for a taste of real love...

what she wouldn’t give.

A spell cast upon her

centuries ago,

from a jealous old witch

with a wart on her nose.

The witch, upon casting her spell,

said Vampire’s life would be

played out in Hell.

Vampire’s fierce anger

towards the old witch

didn’t end with

leaving her in a ditch.

She lived a loveless life

because of that witch,

knowing only true love

could flip that switch.

Still, her thoughts went astray,

Though happy and content,

in many a way,

Slaying her innocent prey,

night after night

in the same old way.

When one night, it came to her

that a loveless life,

was a life deterred.

In her dream,

she saw not his face

And in that moment

of time and space,

she realized,

She had been looking

in the wrong place.

She needed a companion

Immortal and brave.

With a wretched soul

not even Death could save.

When, from the edge of her woods

He emerged from his cave.

Tall, dark and brutal

but she need proof,

for she was a vampire

and he, a werewolf.

Lycan began howlin’,

that autumn’s eve,

Raising her eyebrow,

 Do my eyes deceive?

The Vampire approached the Lycan,

with caution in her heart.

For, revealing herself too soon,

would end it, before it could start

Under the power

of the Harvest moon,

Vampire sensed

they’d become lovers

real soon.

Lycan, then saw her

threw his big, amber eyes,

The feeling in his heart

was of total surprise.

Then asked himself,

 Is this really wise?

The Vampire stopped

dead in place

and thought to herself,

Take a look at his face.

They cautiously approached

one another,

keeping their distance

like a sister and a brother.

With their hearts on fire,

the scent of danger

just fueled their desire.

The Vampire then

turned on her charms

to show the beast,

she meant him no harm.

The Lycan then sniffed her

and to his delight,

For the first time in centuries,

there would be no fight.

For legend tells us, they

formed an immortal bond.

When Vampire gives an order

Lycan would respond.

Lycan then became

Vampire’s protector.

And in that moment,

became companions, for ever.

Lycan had found

his dark lovely master,

and Vampire adored him,

as their passion grew faster.

Creating an eternity

free from disater.
