Falling

How am I supposed to sleep, when my mind is running with the thoughts of you?
Tell my heart to stop beating so fast whenever I get a message, thinking it could be from you. 
Tell it to stop sitting in my throat whenever your name pops up. 
Tell my heart to stop longing for you, when my mind knows, that you love another. 
The communication between my brain and my heart is clearly failing. 
The logical part of me, knows I should distance myself, the selfish part won’t let me, instead it tells me to tighten my grip, though I know I should loosen. 
The fact is, I can’t let you go, nor do I want to. 
All I know is, that I have fallen for you. And I don’t know how to stop. 

I fall over and over every single day.

I remember feeling this way once. falling in love with someone you thought you would never get. like cairo said, the head and the heart not in agreement with each other. your head saying No, and your heart saying Go for it. fortunately for me though, in the end, it was mutual. unfortunately, most times, that's not the case and you've captured that inner torment perfectly.

sometimes, it's really not meant to be...maybe cause what's meant to be is out there, and even better. keep falling in love, even though it might hurt, because we'll never know when the right one will come along. it's better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all. :)
