Buried By The Blevins

Buried By The Blevins

A Poem by S.A. Kurzweil
"

A nostalgic moment is shared in the midst of an ending marriage. Completed 2011.

"
Our past
Hidden in those places that only we know
Too fast
We fell from so high to ground below
At last
Burying that life so we can go

And our time will slip away
Like a drive into the horizon
Like a first kiss stolen in summer's air
In those places that only we know
A life that will be missed

The spear
Offering none as we take all the while
So sincere
The look in your eyes as you walked the aisle
So clear
The day when I first saw your charming smile

And a new time will arise
Like fireflies in the night
Like new love growing by a waterfall
In those places that only we know
A life that will be missed

So wrong
The deserving fight that took its toll
So long
The pain and joy that made us both whole
Our song
True love, two hearts, a path to find our soul

And life's accentuations will be no greater
For it started where life ends
And another starts as it lends
In those places that only we know
A life that will be missed

I enjoyed this, I like the original form. I'm sensing nostalgia here, but no great sorrow!

You have great perception. It is very nostalgic for me personally.
