Trapped Slave

Trapped Slave

If I fight you I lose

If I let you win it destroys me

I like the dark the warmth it brings me

Hiding the fact I am alone

I think to much

About what could be

What might be

And what could have been

I apologise to those who have miss fortune

Those I feel push me away

I cant protect

I wish I could protect

If I was to walk away

How far away would I stop

Would I come back

Could I come back

If imagination is more important than soul, why do we live in reality

If I could forget, would I choose to

If I did forget, would you try to make me remember

I stand, looking out over vast places

Plain, flat, thats what I love

I speak things that don't need to be spoken

When people hear they laugh it off

Ignore and compare

Making me nothing

Yet I still fight to protect

Family has no meaning

Love was long forgotten, along with happiness

I work for others

Making their life what they wish

So what am I?

I am your Trapped Slave
