A Response to Wild Weather

A Response to Wild Weather

A Poem by sL
"

This is a reply to a poem that my husband wrote to me. You can't find it here, but I like to keep my writing in one place.

"

To a self-identified crass and loathsome man--

To an adventurous and worldly man--

To an oh-so-melodramatic man;

rich with metaphor and sentimentality--

A splendid match

we do make.

Our strength of love:

a grand surprise

each day.

Your being provokes my laughter.

Your torrid heart and voice

leave me needing nothing more

than to hear your tales,

to inspire you,

and to fly free

beside you

and your sailing ship

hereafter.

Through raging storms

and gleaming sunlight,

I’ll follow you anywhere,

(my love).

A hopeful and beautiful poem for real love. Funny how people fall together.
"Through raging storms
and gleaming sunlight,
I’ll follow you anywhere,
(my love)."
I liked the above lines a lot. Thank you Stephanie for sharing your amazing poetry.
