Memories in a casket

Memories in a casket

A Poem by Seuwandi
"

I lost my father 2 years ago, this poem holds my feelings

"
When the casket closed,
With it, closed my last view of you,
You left in a closed casket, opening up hundreds of forgotten memories of you and me Appachi,
Opening up wounds that would take years to heal

The casket closed, that strong person I once knew gone into a long deep sleep,
Leaving behind Amma and me thinking of you for many sleepless nights to come,

I wish I could end this eternal torture of missing you like a closed chapter in a book,
It is not that easy with vivid memories slapping me every now and then,

In a casket closed you left, never truly leaving from our hearts

You have written well in remembering your Father. Too many do not see how much we effect others in our journey and how much they effect us. This is a pleasant departure from that. :)
