L-'s Eyes of Wonder.

L-'s Eyes of Wonder.

A Poem by Seth Tillings
"

Written about a girl I wish I had taken the chance for when I had it and how in the lonely moments I wonder what her secret side is like.

"

Pull them off your throws
 over knees
   over toes
    plant them as a seed
at the bottom of the bed
       accidently, of course,
         then ignore their growth

Flower as the wood groans
while the air ripples with tensions breaking
feed it with the radiance of a beast in forming

F**k whilst it’s judging, watching
colours unfolding
unknowing that the friction is collapsing
just like the sky is falling

A rigid boy and a flowing body collide
leaves spring forth from the sapling
flags draped as if celebrating the coronation
of a royal couplet joining with everything

Within

Without

Heated exhales whisked away
to be indulged by the aching oak
names carved of lovers come and gone
this bed has seen to much and rest
but still the titan watches on
apples ripening with your cheeks
and breasts
and belly
falling with me
racking
rapturing
a lightning strike
and the tree is finally burning

A smell clings at the nostrils
both on our backs
giggling

An ancient stump sits trembling
 new seedlings now germinating

A sigh

  As we lie
in this autumn forest blanket
posthumous leaves

And I pull them back on
over toes
over knees.
