Walking by Streetlight

Walking by Streetlight

A Poem by Azarel Szabo

Walking by streetlight
Star-lights talking to me
Telling me there story
Old American glories
Blazing past
Alongside roaring metallic behemoths
Headed where?
I haven't the slightest clue

Walking by streetlight
Store-lights gawking out at me
Wishing I'd enter

Unfortunately for them, so is my attention

Walking by streetlight
See friends talking
Not my friends though
So I'll keep on walking

Walking by streetlight
Don't know when I'll be stopping

Walking on further
Beyond all these lights

Walking on further
Until I'm out of sight
