What goes down must come up

What goes down must come up

A Poem by Azarel Szabo

Consumed by nothingness
I lived for nothing
I lived for no one
My heart
A barren wasteland
My soul
An empty hole

Consumed by purpose
I lived for everything
I lived for everyone
My heart a lush green forest
My soul
Magnificent and glory-bound

Stripped by madness
I lost everything
Abandoned by everyone
My heart
Ripped from my chest
My soul
A crippled shadow

Saved by revelation
I found what really mattered
I discovered new love and reason
My heart
Recreated and unbreakable
My soul
Risen from the ashes

Azarel, very touching...endless themes of death and resurrection/renewal. I like the 4 stanzas as if you're Muse was indicating 4 seasons of your soul. I can feel 4 seasons here. Very nice, please write more.
