Coffin

Coffin

A Poem by Sergio Reyna

Tied by invisible thread
Cuffed at the wrist

And placed in diamond
shaped pyramid

we resided in tomb
wrapped in tarnished bed sheets

chest on chest
as time ticks

we rot and dissolve
as hearts fade to one
then none.

maggots feed as we
enter the map of memory

shutting door
and bing buried beneath
the sand.
