No Wonder I Starve For Truth

No Wonder I Starve For Truth

A Poem by Ciele
"

When Lies become too much to bear, one would break for hunger, You see..

"
You push
and push
and push

I pull,
you fall.

You pushed until it happened.
You reached my breaking point.
You disgusted me beyond belief,
making me think something
IMPOSSIBLE
about you.

And then you called me
the liar.

You lied first.
You "tested" me,
by pushing a limit.

You know who you are.
You know...

You know what you did.

You made
yourself
look
like
a w***e.

Sorry.
No other way to say it.

But you know,
I can forgive
but I'll never,
never
forget...

because forgetting..

isn't...

me...

.

It's not
the first time
this has happened
to me.

Someone lied
with extremes
to see if I'd talk.

I did,
but with good reason

and they thought they couldn't trust me?

No.
I couldn't trust.
can't.
Not anymore.

Because lies
. . are what hide
. . . . in every eye

And all you're doing lately
is lying.

No wonder I starve for truth.

This is a very passionate and intriguing poem regarding a needed desire for the truth due to being deceived and lied to many times on some many levels relationship wise. Great write. It's one of those reads where the texts consumes your attention into the underlying message within the poem. :)

The third stanza: " You reached my breaking point." That one line is the only one that doesn't make sense. The poem is pretty powerful though. :)
