This - Serenus is IMHO your finest hour. I look forward to reading more of these very clever and poignant homages to the greats who no longer walk among us.
This was SPECTACULAR Serenus! You have included one of my all-time favorites in this 'ode to musical artists' extravaganza! 'Sexual Healing', huh, by Marvin Gaye? What a song...and what a great, inventive piece of work from you, my friend...

I only know a few of these entertainers, Michael Jackson as the scarecrow from, "The Wiz" and Whitney Houston who sang, "Home" in the same movie.

Ray Charles - although I can't think of any songs by name he wrote specifically.
You have some outstanding ability here to create true Senryu's from all of these people !

Yah well they both sing quite well (listening). :)
These are wonderful! You captured the spark of each artist in these short pieces. You've got some of my faves here, too - was listening to Nina Simone's "Sinnerman" just the other day! :)
