I love this one! It had a bit surprising end for me, as I wouldn`t expect everyone to dream to be "bigger and better" ,but a huge part of people do. Maybe some dream of "deeper and better" - visualizing the spirit. Bigger dreams as we can see, make the earth small place. I love your great sense of rhymes. and my favorite lines are the last :

However, bigger and better is not necessarily nicer and sweeter (at least for my anyways) ... I have found the best things in life are free and the sweetest things in life are often small, adorable, and sometimes even fuzzy.

Always carry a little tin of sugar through life, Serenus, and you will be prepared for when situations turn sour on you. :)

i agree with you, its the small things that really matter in life...this poem is just an expression of the big dreams we have for ourselves...and how the world sometimes has a funny way of waking us (rudely) from those dreams.
