 You’ve got it all figured out

An amateur expert on everything

Do you really know…

What the hell you’re talking about?

 

Pontificating poisonous politics

Preaching with your powerful pen

Plowing through the world’s problems

But failing to find peace within

 

Everyone else is wrong

That’s your skewed point of view

You have all of the answers, don't you?

And no one else has a clue

 

Oh wise creative wordsmith

With your captivating characters and concepts

The world is not your keyboard

So (Ctrl- Alt- Delete) your God complex

 

Mr. Poet KnowItAll

Just admit it, you’re a fraud

Get off of your high horse and soapbox

Because there is no one around to applaud

I know that feel, those who flaunt their "expert poetry skills" and look down on others, are only fakes. Poetry comes from the soul, besides, nobodies perfect, we are all flawed. I probably spelled a few things wrong just now XD. I smirked the whole time reading this, truly understood what you get at. Keep up the writing, friend :)

Nice and kinda cheeky! mischievous grin as you typed i suspect. The ending is perfect of course. I think it best I end my review here before I start dropping names - lol! Nice flow and rhyme to it. Some of the verses flowed so well they demanded to be read aloud and heard!. Nice work!

There's of piece of it in all of us. That's why I like to cut loose with funny and dirty sometimes. It keeps me from getting my pen stuck in my a*s, or in my case, keyboard. Man that s**t would hurt.

But for some, that keyboard is the perfect instrument for them to feel powerful, to say things they would never say to a person face to face. You have illustrated these self-appointed deities well... And reminded all poets to write from the heart, and not from the rhetoric...

exactly...poetry is for heart and soul to be unwound...and yes, political rants have their place...but no one knows it all....the frauds will be found out sooner or later...

anyone with a god complex will eventually be struck down to size...

knocked off of their self-made pedestal...
