Censor These Nuts!

 

There is an army of artist

Who just don’t give a f**k

Armed to the teeth

With words

Sharp

And ready to cut

 

We speak truth to power

We’re the ones

Who call their bluff

We refuse to hold our tongues

D****t!

 …Enough Is Enough

 

Some call us crazy

But crazy, compared to what?

There is no place for censorship

But if you must censor

Censor these nuts!

 

The ones who bend the truth

They keep everyone misinformed

They feed us violence

And keep us silent

And tell us it’s the norm

 

Radical religions

Always a war, always a fight

Political divisions

Slowly stealing

Our first amendment rights

 

Crossing out the truth

Telling us what to believe

Replacing all of the prophets

With liars, crooks, and thieves

 

This is the real reason

This nation is stuck in a rut

Instead of censoring “The People”

How about we… censor these nuts!

The power of expression remains, perhaps, the truest of freedoms, and it is the one we writers depend on more than any other. Is anything more precious than our words, after all?
And we should use it to build, not destroy, to bring light and hope, rather than pain and despair.
Words, like concepts of power, are purely neutral. It's how you use them that counts.
