yes there's many view to be taken from that of one kiss and you stated good ones here to be looked upon. you brought the mind to think here of what doors are lock and unlocked from giving and receiving a simple kiss of affection. for us to even look at or consider love we must look at ourselves and and blow a kiss at the same one in the mirror to love. as always keep writing fellow writer.

wow, i kept thinking of the first kiss with my now significant other...and how great it was...and how it seemed to give us both that permission to move forward with a different kind of relationship...

and then there was your ending...and yes, i guess we need to do that once in awhile...and smartly, because we need to know we love ourselves first...then we are much more inclined to feel that others will love us too.
