![]() Feather of a PhoenixA Poem by Sirius KingFeather of a Phoenix (Poem by Serenus)
When I first learned how to fly You were right by my side But as the flame in me Began to get bigger Yours, somehow Seemed to flicker Was it my spark That tore us a part? Because I refused To dim my light To make yours shine Even more bright I didn’t rely on you To help me fly anymore I had full control of my wings Instead of you being happy for me You set fire to my dreams
You tried to dilute my desire As I was souring higher I tried to bring you with me But you couldn’t handle the humidity Birds of a feather flock together But then you were gone Through cold and stormy weather I flew all alone, fire still strong I want to make a mends But I cant sit and pretend Like you didn't hurt me Leaving my heart singed... So I'll give to you this feather As a reminder …My old friend That I love and miss you But I’ll never give you The chance to burn me... again
