ClaustrophobiaA Poem by Sirius KingThis is apart of my "Phobia" series of poems, feel free to check out the others!Claustrophobia (Poem by Serenus)
This world is not big enough To fit both me And your opinion Of who I should be... I refuse to make room- It’s impossible to breathe I must break free!
I can’t accept That my life’s assignment Resides in solitary confinement My own personal cell- A custom made Hell That you have planned for me I’m ready to leave I must break free!
I’m more than what you Made me out to be Stronger than what Your eyes can see Please be my guest Underestimate me I must break free!
Forever trapped In a man-made box With bars and chains And combination locks Unable to shed The labels placed upon my head Losing my own identity I must break free!
I won’t accept Your expectations Living in regret, Discarding my aspirations... I will make it my mission, To break out of this prison No matter how long it takes me I will not let you break me I must break free!
Seeing something That no one else sees That staying true to myself Is the only freedom key Being who I was born to be With no apologies! I WILL break free!
