Déjà VuA Poem by Sirius King Reoccurring dreams With copycat themes Rewinds my story line’s stream Back to this scene
Phone cord ripped Out of the wall To make certain No help could be called
Screams and tears Mixed
with the stench Kids hiding in fear Broken glass Covering up their ears Blocked hits Furniture overturned Lit cigarettes Leaving the carpet burned
He had his fix Then it was her turn To teach a lesson Neither of them could ever learn… She grabbed a kitchen knife It made him think twice The only thing that could’ve Ended this fight This night She
should’ve ended
But she gave him a next time And the time after that She gave him anything he wanted And this is what he gave back…
Beatings
and bruises Full of excuses Trying to get through to his head Absolutely useless No way out No reason to stay around No way to deal Nervous breakdown
Who will take care of his kids now?
And I had to watched it As
she mentally The seed of this cycle Implanted in me still to this day… The question to ask is In time will it grow? And the only answer is I just don’t know…
Reoccurring dreams With copycat themes Rewinds
my Back to this scene So what does it all mean? Am I preconditioned To repeat all of the Things I’ve seen?
To change it What will I have to do? To put an end to this Déjà Vu…
