Daydreaming in class day after day Just trying to make it Seemed like the only way
Feeling like screaming Instead just writing it down Recording lyrics and harmonies In my head -without making a sound Then to the stage Where the crowd would be amazed But before they could scream my name I’m instantly brought back to my page
The words of the instructor Going through one ear and out the other Wasting my time Cause in my mind I will never use What they choose to teach Irrelevant to all of the things Impossible dreams That I plan to reach
Tolerating this tediousness While time teases and taunts Giving in to this anxiousness At last class is over I have to put down my pen Don’t think I can wake up tomorrow To do this all over again
It’s just too hard to pretend
It’s more than boredom Almost postmortem Such a convenient For a
